Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Oncology with weekend shift options available across all schedules. This role involves delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while adhering to professional nursing standards and ethics.
General Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care through the nursing process, demonstrating clinical expertise relevant to oncology nursing and upholding the ANA Code of Ethics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to ensure a safe care environment.
  • Maintain and care for central lines and implement measures to prevent surgical site infections according to policy.
  • Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide education to patients and families to support positive health outcomes.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance quality, and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
  • Document all patient care activities and quality monitoring data to support clinical decisions and compliance with quality standards.
  • Effectively communicate patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes.

Education

Mental and Physical Requirements
