Travel RN - Medical Surgical

The Medical Surgical unit is seeking an RN to join the team. This position requires strong foundational nursing skills and patient care abilities. Experience in medical-surgical care is preferred. Patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1, ensuring manageable workloads. Techs are available to assist with patient care tasks. Equipment includes hoyer lifts and rolling computers for efficiency. Documentation is performed using Meditech. Scheduling includes 4 weekend shifts per month. Floating to Surgical or Acute Rehab may be required. Candidates should be knowledgeable about NG/NJ tubes, chest tubes, and heparin drips. Heart procedures in the catheterization lab result in patient returns to the unit. A team-oriented environment fosters positive attitudes and support for new staff. Recognition includes awards for safety and patient care excellence. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs for all staff members. Unit-specific guidelines and policies are available for review.
