 Medsurg Vascular Unit:

  • Our Medical-Surgical Vascular unit specializes in caring for patients with complex vascular and circulatory conditions, as well as general medical and post‑surgical needs. This unit provides nurses the opportunity to develop strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and technical skills while caring for patients before and after vascular procedures and surgeries.
  • Patients on this unit may include those with peripheral vascular disease, arterial and venous disorders, wound complications, post‑operative vascular care, and chronic conditions requiring ongoing monitoring and education. Nurses work closely with vascular surgeons, hospitalists, wound care specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
  • Nurses on this unit are provided the opportunity to earn dialysis certification as part of their professional development.

How you'll contribute  

You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs 
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions 
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient 
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record 
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient 
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments 

What we're looking for: 

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include: 

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. 
  • ACLS are required within six months of hire.  
  • Two-three years of experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply. 

Schedule: 3x12, Days rotating weekends
