Position Title: Weekend Registered (RN)
Department: Nursing
Reports To: Director of Nursing (DON) / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Position Summary

The Weekend RN is responsible for overseeing the nursing operations of the facility during weekend shifts to ensure quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff support. The are serves as a clinical leader, provides guidance to nursing staff, responds to resident needs and emergencies, and promotes a safe and compassionate environment for residents, families, and employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure residents receive quality nursing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies

  • Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to changes in condition or emergencies

  • Complete nursing assessments, documentation, and incident reports accurately and timely

  • Administer medications and treatments as needed

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, families, residents, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, OSHA, and facility regulations and standards

  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers when necessary

  • Address staff concerns, resident complaints, and operational issues professionally and promptly

  • Participate in infection control, safety, and quality assurance practices

  • Serve as the nursing leadership representative during weekend operations

Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio

  • Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred

  • Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Physical Requirements
