Occupational health nursing is a specialized discipline focused on delivering comprehensive health and safety programs to workers and workplace populations. The practice emphasizes promoting and restoring health, preventing illness and injury, and protecting individuals from work-related and environmental hazards.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct medical history and physical assessments to promote health and prevent illness.
  • Provide education and guidance to team members on communicable diseases and wellness initiatives.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure team members' safety and recovery.
  • Respond quickly to incidents and emergencies to provide first aid and other emergency care, such as CPR, as needed.

Requirements:
  • Education: Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of nursing experience is preferred but not required. May consider new grads w/LPN experience and/or BSN degree. Occupational Health experience is not required. We will train on the job!
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic medical documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to get along with others.
  • Special Skills: Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk unassisted through the plant, quickly respond to medical emergencies, climb stairs, assess team members swiftly, and perform CPR if required; ensure team members and supervisors are following prescribed modified restricted duty requirements.

Travel: Occasionally travel to local clinics or hospitals.
Days/Hours of Position: Thursday 12:00am-6:00am, Friday and Saturday 6:00pm-6:00am
