Job Overview:
JAKE Premier, LLC, is a residential construction management firm, based out of West Chester, PA. We are looking for an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join our growing team. Responsibilities for Residential Construction Estimator:
  • Analyze construction documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
  • Calculate the quantity of materials needed for new home construction / renovations.
  • Prepare material & labor quotes based on current market costs.
  • Proactive follow-up with team members and management to assure completeness of estimate.
  • Collaborate, collect, and organize data provided by clients & management to provide detailed & accurate estimates.
  • Initiate agreements and negotiations with sub-contractors that will maximize value, quality, and delivery of products.
  • Manage bids from vendors / suppliers.
  • Regularly review actual versus estimated materials on completion of projects to assure accuracy.
  • Assist with securing applicable project permits.
  • Assist the production team with building client relationships while interfacing with the client for proposal and selections related items.
  • Meet with client to review โ€œwhat to expectโ€ and provide direction on how to best move through the design and finish selection process (along with designer).
  • Assist with developing internal and client reports, including project budgeting, cost reports, and project status reports.
  • Assist with supplier invoicing process.

Qualifications for Residential Construction Estimator.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials.
  • Skilled at budgeting and negotiating.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to track and manage selections for multiple projects.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Functions effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficient analytical and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of residential estimating required.
  • Experience with new home and residential construction required.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Word & Quickbooks.
  • Knowledge of Buildertrend software preferred.

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday.

License/Certification:
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree required.
  • Driver's License (Required).
