Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close the job site daily, ensuring secure and safe operations.
  • Supervise daily site activities and enforce quality standards on all phases of work.
  • Maintain and update detailed daily logs, including photos and progress notes in Buildertrend.
  • Schedule subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to keep projects on schedule.
  • Track and communicate construction progress, RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
  • Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions; maintain permit cards and stamped plans.
  • Proactively identify and resolve conflicts or delays in construction schedules.
  • Maintain project documentation including 3-week look ahead schedules.
  • Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant.
  • Collaborate effectively with Project Managers and field crews for seamless execution.
  • Complete punch list identification and ensure all tasks are completed to close out projects.

Ideal Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in residential construction with superintendent or field leadership roles.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in Buildertrend software (required).
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, supply vendors, and permitting processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to interpret plans, foresee issues, and drive proactive solutions.
  • Self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable leading teams and enforcing accountability while building rapport with homeowners and stakeholders.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to evolving project management methods.
