Process Engineer

Summary

InGenesis is currently seeking an Process Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for leading the implementation of new client programs, operational initiatives, technologies, and business processes while driving continuous improvement across the organization.

The Implementation & Continuous Process Engineer partners with cross-functional teams to evaluate current-state operations, identify opportunities for improvement, design scalable solutions, and support successful implementation and adoption. This position serves as a bridge between project implementation and ongoing process optimization, helping ensure that new and existing processes are efficient, standardized, measurable, and sustainable.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of project implementation, business process engineering, change management, and analytical expertise, with the ability to work effectively across departments, clients, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

Implementation & Project Execution

  • Lead and support cross-functional implementation projects for new client programs, technology deployments, operational initiatives, and process enhancements.
  • Manage implementation activities from initial planning and requirements gathering through launch, stabilization, and transition to ongoing operations.
  • Develop project plans, implementation timelines, milestones, deliverables, and performance measures.
  • Partner with internal departments, clients, and other stakeholders to define business requirements and ensure successful implementation.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and key performance indicators and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities across departments to support seamless implementation, onboarding, and service delivery.
  • Identify implementation challenges and develop practical solutions to maintain project timelines and business objectives.
  • Support post-implementation reviews to evaluate effectiveness, identify gaps, and determine opportunities for further optimization.

Business Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate company-wide business processes and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead teams in examining, redesigning, and improving business processes to increase efficiency, quality, speed, scalability, and overall performance.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Develop detailed current-state and future-state process maps, workflows, and end-to-end business process designs.
  • Facilitate process mapping, workflow review, and continuous improvement sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Professionally challenge existing processes and traditional approaches when opportunities exist to improve performance or service delivery.
  • Analyze operational data, process metrics, and performance trends to identify system or operational issues and recommend solutions.
  • Establish appropriate process measurements and controls to evaluate whether implemented improvements are achieving intended outcomes.
  • Promote process standardization and consistency across departments and business functions.
  • Maintain documentation of business processes, workflows, SOPs, project decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Change Management, Training & Adoption

  • Lead change management activities associated with new programs, systems, workflows, and process improvements.
  • Develop change management and communication plans to support successful adoption and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare internal communications and project updates to keep employees and stakeholders informed throughout implementation and transition.
  • Design and develop training materials, process guides, job aids, presentations, and other supporting documentation.
  • Facilitate training and education for employees, clients, customers, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Customize training and communication approaches based on the process, audience, and business need.
  • Monitor adoption of new processes and identify additional training, communication, or workflow adjustments when needed.
  • Support teams during implementation and stabilization to ensure new processes are understood and consistently followed.

Technology & Systems Improvement

  • Participate in cross-functional enterprise technology and systems improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate how technology can be used to improve workflows, automation, reporting, scalability, and operational performance.
  • Develop an understanding of new technology solutions utilized internally and by clients.
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to translate business requirements into effective system and process solutions.
  • Support process testing, user acceptance activities, and validation of new or modified workflows.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and process improvement tools that may provide value to the organization or its clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Process Management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project implementation, business analysis, process engineering, process improvement, change management, training, application support, or a related function.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and improving end-to-end business processes.
  • Experience leading or supporting cross-functional projects involving multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical and sustainable solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating operational data, workflows, process metrics, and performance indicators.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, leadership, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Advanced attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fully remote environment.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio or comparable process-mapping tools.
  • Ability and willingness to learn unfamiliar systems, technologies, and business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the staffing, healthcare staffing, workforce solutions, or healthcare operations industries.
  • Knowledge of staffing and workforce workflows, including recruiting, onboarding, credentialing, compliance, scheduling, timekeeping, and service delivery.
  • Experience with Vendor Management Systems (VMS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), scheduling platforms, or other workforce technology.
  • Experience with VMS applications such as SAP Fieldglass, PeopleFluent, or similar platforms.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or comparable project management certification preferred.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements, including Joint Commission standards, CMS requirements, and state professional licensure requirements.
  • Knowledge of process metrics, process testing, user acceptance testing, and software quality assurance methodologies.
