The Vision Works Youth Counseling Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our team in Spokane, Washington. This position is primarily remote, but we also have on-site resources available at our Hospice Center, enabling collaboration with an interdisciplinary team that values input and cooperation. Your work will involve flexible scheduling to ensure continuous care for clients, which may occasionally require evenings or weekends based on client needs. • Conduct in-depth assessments of elderly clients' psychosocial needs, integrating emotional, mental, and social considerations.
• Collaborate closely with clients and their families to create personalized care plans that address specific goals such as reducing anxiety or enhancing quality of life.
• Provide individual and family counseling, helping clients manage life transitions, and resulting emotional upheaval.
• Serve as an advocate for clients, ensuring they are aware of and can access essential community resources and services.
• Coordinate with a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses and caregivers, to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to client care.
• Conduct regular visits to monitor client well-being, reassessing living conditions and safety concerns.
• Facilitate family meetings to improve communication and address any conflicts related to care.
• Educate clients and families about community resources, support groups, and tailored programs contributing to enhanced social engagement.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of assessments, care plans, and client interactions in compliance with ethical standards and organizational policies.
• Stay updated on current social work practices and regulations tailored to seniors, ensuring exemplary service delivery.

Your primary focus will be on senior clients, including those with complex emotional and mental health issues. You will work with families to provide the necessary support, allowing them to cope with aging-related challenges such as loneliness, grief, and anxiety. With a commitment to advocacy, you will empower families to navigate access to vital resources, enhancing their quality of life and sense of community.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of current and valid licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.
• At least two years of relevant experience in a social work setting, preferably within a community center or geriatric care environment.
• Extensive understanding of social work principles and aging-related issues, as well as knowledge of local community resources.
• Exceptional counseling, assessment, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working directly with seniors and their families, addressing mental health challenges and emotional crises.
• Ability to utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technological tools to enhance client management.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments while maintaining empathy and compassion.

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
