Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment in Spokane, Washington

Job Requirements
  • 2 years of strong cardiac nursing, telemetry, or PCU experience preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience caring for cardiovascular, post-operative cardiac, and progressive care patients
  • Ability to interpret telemetry rhythms and manage cardiac drips
  • Skilled in caring for patients with chest tubes, epidurals, pacemakers, and ICDs
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, respectful, team-focused approach
  • Comfortable floating to Med Surg or ICU overflow assignments when needed
  • Epic experience is helpful
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and vascular patients
  • Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition across a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Care for patients with MI, arrhythmias, post-open-heart surgery needs, and other complex cardiac diagnoses
  • Manage cardiac infusions such as nitro, heparin, amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine
  • Interpret telemetry rhythms and escalate concerns promptly
  • Support post-procedural care for cardiac catheterization and vascular intervention patients
  • Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, efficient patient flow
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy acute care environment
