This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your workday while still maintaining the essential human connection necessary for effective social work. Regular business hours will be observed, but you may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends based on client needs and specific program activities. Our community health clinic operates with a dedicated focus on accessibility, ensuring that all clients receive the support they need in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the social, emotional, and environmental factors affecting clients’ well-being.
  • Develop tailored service plans that set measurable goals, outline intervention strategies, and include progress tracking to facilitate client success.
  • Provide individual and family counseling to guide clients through life transitions, crises, and challenging circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to identify resources and services within the community, connecting them with necessary support systems.
  • Execute crisis intervention strategies, including risk assessments and safety planning, to ensure clients receive urgent care when needed.
  • Coordinate with external agencies to advocate for clients and enhance the delivery of services.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote awareness of our services and engage more individuals in need.
  • Attend case conferences, relevant team meetings, and training sessions to deepen your professional knowledge and effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse population facing complex social issues. Clients will include individuals and families struggling with various challenges such as mental health issues, substance disorders, and socioeconomic hardships. Through your professional expertise, you will guide them toward empowerment, recovery, and stability.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university is required.
  • Current active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to practice in Virginia is essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care principles, social justice issues, and community resources is necessary.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with cultural competence, are imperative to effectively serve our client population.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a social services environment or clinical social work setting is preferred.
  • Experience working with low-income clients and understanding the nuances of systemic barriers is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with case management software and documentation is beneficial for maintaining organized records and facilitating communication.
Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to this competitive salary, we offer an attractive benefits package that includes:

  • Comprehensive health insurance, covering medical, dental, and vision needs.
  • Retirement plans featuring employer matching to assist you in achieving your long-term financial goals.
  • Generous paid time off policies, encompassing vacation days, personal days, and recognized holidays.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development to support your career growth within social work.
  • Sign-on bonus for new hires.
