Job description

Transform Mental Health for Youth and Adults with Daybreak Health - Riverside Clinicians WelcomeOverview

Join our mission to make quality mental healthcare accessible to every young person and family who needs it. At Daybreak Health, you'll be part of a movement dedicated to removing barriers to care and empowering both teens and adults to thrive emotionally and mentally.

We partner with over 60 school districts and Kaiser Permanente, reaching more than one million students nationwide, and we've now expanded to serve adults as well. We're actively growing our clinician network across the Riverside region and would love to connect with local licensed clinicians ready to make an impact — fully remotely, on their own schedule. Our clinicians enjoy the stability of consistent referrals and a meaningful, diverse caseload, allowing you to focus on what matters most: making a real difference in people's lives, at every stage.

We're seeking compassionate, licensed mental health clinicians to provide teletherapy throughout California to a caseload primarily made up of youth ages 11–24, with the opportunity to also serve adult clients ages 18–60. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care while working alongside schools, families, and community partners to help clients thrive.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $75–$95 per session, plus guaranteed pay for no-shows and late cancellations.
  • Paid Clinical Consultation, Malpractice insurance provided, and Continuing Education credits available
  • Independent Contractor (1099) flexibility — build a caseload and schedule around your life, no commute required
Flexibility & Clinical Support
  • Fully remote — work from anywhere in the U.S., including Sacramento and nearby areas
  • Flexible schedule — set your hours Monday to Sunday, 8am–8pm PT (weekends optional)
  • Caseload minimum: 5 sessions/week, with no cap — we match and book initial sessions into your set availability; you handle recurring sessions on your own schedule
  • Administrative support — we handle billing, credentialing, and scheduling
  • Supportive clinical community — peer consultation, collaborative networks, optional team discussions
  • Professional development — free CE credits year-round, paid clinical consultation, ongoing training
Role & Responsibilities
  • Foster strong, supportive relationships with clients across age groups to create a safe therapeutic environment
  • Provide evidence-based individual teletherapy primarily to clients ages 11–24 experiencing mild-to-moderate mental health conditions, with the opportunity to also serve adult clients ages 18–60
  • Provide psychoeducation to parents/caregivers of younger clients
Qualifications
  • Licensed Professional with LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP credentials in the State of California
  • Passion for mental health across the lifespan; demonstrated commitment to culturally responsive, equitable care
  • Experience working with teens and youth ages 11–24 in clinical or school settings; experience with adult populations is a plus
  • Comfortable with telehealth; experience providing telehealth services

Please note: This role is open to fully licensed clinicians only; associate and provisionally licensed clinicians are not eligible.
