Job description

Position Overview

Inspiring Possibilities Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in providing compassionate, patient-centered care within a hospice setting. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work while striving to enhance the quality of life for clients dealing with significant health challenges and emotional difficulties.

About the Organization

At Inspiring Possibilities Counseling Center, we are committed to serving medically underserved communities in Stockton, California. Our mission is to foster healthier communities by delivering high-quality healthcare services that are accessible to all, regardless of their ability to pay. We envision ourselves as a model for other healthcare centers, striving for excellence in every aspect of our work. Our values of compassion, integrity, and teamwork drive us to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, providing you with the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home while remaining connected to our hospice center. You will operate within a supportive framework, with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. While occasional evening or weekend hours may be necessary to meet client needs, the remote setting offers flexibility in managing your professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Social Worker at Inspiring Possibilities Counseling Center, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct clinical services to patients, including conducting comprehensive assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions to support clients coping with chronic illness, bereavement, and psychiatric disorders.
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams, which may include nurses, doctors, and other therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Advocating for patients and their families, guiding them through available resources and support services in the community.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and adhering to ethical guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Engaging in professional development activities and team meetings to advance the collective goals of the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients receiving hospice care, many of whom are facing life-limiting illnesses and may exhibit symptoms of major mental illness or severe emotional disorders. The focus will be on addressing not only the psychological impacts of their health conditions but also providing support for their families during challenging times, emphasizing grief and loss management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid LCSW license in California is required.
  • A Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Social Work or a related field is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to empathize with diverse client backgrounds and needs.
  • Expertise in assessment, treatment planning, risk assessment, and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities for effective collaboration and documentation.
  • Exemplary organizational skills to manage caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, particularly in hospice, palliative care, or related settings. Experience working with terminally ill patients and their families is highly valued, as it allows for increased sensitivity and understanding of client needs in these circumstances.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 90,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package which includes:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, ensuring comprehensive care for you and your family.
  • A generous retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to secure your financial future.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and sick leave to promote work-life balance and personal wellness.
  • Access to continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and professional development.
  • A sign-on bonus to welcome you to our caring team.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Inspiring Possibilities Counseling Center, we believe in nurturing our employees' growth. You will have access to various career progression pathways, from clinical leadership roles to specialized services, enabling you to shape your career in a way that aligns with your passions and strengths.

Why Join Our Team

By becoming part of our dedicated team, you will contribute to a vital mission that serves vulnerable populations.
