Weekend Remote Ai Engineer information

What is a Weekend Remote AI Engineer?

Weekend Remote AI Engineers are professionals who design, build, and maintain artificial intelligence systems while working remotely, typically on weekends. They may be employed part-time, as freelancers, or on a project basis to assist organizations with AI development outside of standard business hours. Their responsibilities can include developing machine learning models, processing data, and integrating AI solutions into existing products. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work arrangements or supplemental income, and it requires strong programming and analytical skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Weekend Remote AI Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Weekend Remote AI Engineer, you need strong programming skills (Python, Java, or C++), a solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, and typically a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with AI frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch), version control systems (like Git), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is essential. Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills help you excel in a remote, asynchronous work environment. These competencies ensure you can independently deliver high-quality AI solutions and collaborate effectively, even outside traditional work hours.

What are some common challenges faced by Weekend Remote AI Engineers, and how can they be addressed?

Weekend Remote AI Engineers often encounter challenges such as limited real-time collaboration with team members working standard weekday hours, balancing time management with personal commitments, and staying updated with ongoing project changes. To address these, it’s helpful to utilize asynchronous communication tools, maintain clear documentation of work, and proactively sync with team leads before and after the weekend. Establishing a structured routine and setting clear goals for each weekend session can also enhance productivity and integration with the broader team.

Job description

Full-Stack AI Engineer

Location: Remote / Flexible
Employment Type: Full-time
Focus: AI Agents, Enterprise Legal Tech, Contract Intelligence, Full-Stack Engineering

About Our Client

Our client is building the next generation of contract intelligence software for the enterprise.

Their platform is focused on transforming contracts from static archive documents into active business systems that help power enterprise workflows, decision-making, and automation.

Following a recent acquisition, the team is operating as a focused, founder-led group inside a larger enterprise software company. This gives engineers the opportunity to work with the speed and ownership of a startup while benefiting from the reach, resources, and customer base of an established market leader.

The enterprise legal technology market is at a major inflection point, and our client is building AI-native products to help define the next era of contract management and contract intelligence.

About the Role

Our client is hiring a Full-Stack AI Engineer to help build and bring to market a contract operating system for the enterprise.

This person will join as an early engineer on a newly integrated, high-ownership team. You'll work directly with the founding team and collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to architect, build, and own user-facing applications powered by AI agent technology.

This is a strong fit for an engineer who enjoys ambiguous, high-impact problems, wants meaningful product influence, and is already using AI coding tools as part of their daily engineering workflow.

What You'll Do

  • Build full-stack product experiences for enterprise contract intelligence software

  • Work directly with the founding team in a focused, high-impact product group

  • Architect, develop, and own user-facing applications from concept through production

  • Design intelligent solutions across frontend, backend, data, and AI agent systems

  • Build with AI agent frameworks and modern AI-native development workflows

  • Help define technical strategy, engineering standards, and product roadmap execution

  • Promote strong engineering practices across architecture, code quality, testing, CI/CD, and reliability

  • Initiate, influence, and drive meaningful technical projects

  • Partner with product, design, and engineering to shape product direction

  • Help define success metrics and measurement systems for the engineering team

  • Contribute to products serving enterprise legal, procurement, and contract workflows

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience building AI products or AI-powered software

  • Strong full-stack engineering experience across backend, frontend, databases, and production systems

  • Professional experience with Python, SQL, databases, CI/CD, and Git

  • Experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar tools

  • Daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, or similar platforms

  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments

  • Strong ownership mindset and desire to have meaningful impact on the business

  • Ability to architect and ship high-quality software in a small, focused team

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design

  • Interest in enterprise software, legal tech, contract intelligence, or AI workflow automation

Bonus Experience

  • Startup experience or experience operating in a small, high-ownership product team

  • Experience building AI agents, RAG systems, workflow automation, or enterprise AI applications

  • Experience with legal tech, contract lifecycle management, procurement software, or enterprise SaaS

  • Experience working in founder-led teams or post-acquisition product environments

  • Experience shaping technical roadmaps and engineering standards in early-stage environments

Why This Opportunity

  • Join an early, founder-led team inside a larger enterprise software company

  • Work directly on best-in-class AI agent technology

  • Build products in a large and rapidly evolving enterprise legal tech market

  • Own meaningful product and technical decisions from day one

  • Help shape the future of contract intelligence and enterprise contract automation

  • Operate with startup-level ownership while benefiting from enterprise reach and resources

  • Build alongside a focused team working directly with senior leadership

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a full-stack engineer who has already built AI-powered products and wants to take on meaningful ownership in a fast-moving environment.

They are comfortable working across frontend, backend, databases, and AI agent systems. They use AI coding tools every day, enjoy solving ambiguous problems, and want to help build enterprise software that turns contracts into intelligent business infrastructure.
