Job description

Position Overview:

The Property Manager is responsible for the comprehensive oversight, maintenance, and operational management of a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and land assets owned by the Family Office, founding family members, and affiliated foundation entities. This role may also support select real estate development initiatives, including due diligence, entitlement coordination, and construction oversight.

This position requires a hands-on, resourceful professional who can seamlessly balance strategic oversight with practical execution. The ideal candidate is highly responsive, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion while working closely with family stakeholders and internal leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Property Oversight & Maintenance

  • Manage the day-to-day needs of approximately seven local properties, including homes, office spaces, and land.ย 
  • Coordinate and perform routine inspections to ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards.ย 
  • Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and ongoing service needs.ย 
  • Respond to and manage property-related emergencies promptly, including availability outside of standard business hours.ย 

Vendor & Service Provider Management

  • Source, vet, and manage third-party vendors and service providers.ย 
  • Negotiate contracts, oversee work quality, and ensure timely completion of services.ย 
  • Maintain strong relationships with trusted vendors while ensuring cost efficiency and service excellence.ย 

Hands-On Support

  • Utilize personal skills to complete minor repairs and maintenance when appropriate.ย 
  • Troubleshoot issues independently and determine when to escalate to external providers.ย 
  • Assist with the needs of pets and livestock.

Asset & Equipment Management

  • Oversee maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment, including cars, UTVs, tractors, and other property-related assets.ย 
  • Ensure all equipment is in safe, working condition and properly serviced.ย 

Portfolio Growth & Expansion

  • Support the onboarding and management of additional local properties as needed, including potential landlord responsibilities.ย 
  • Possibly in the future assist with oversight of out-of-state properties, which may include periodic travel and coordination with remote vendors.ย 

Development & Construction Support

  • Assist with due diligence efforts related to new property acquisitions and development projects, including coordination of inspections, documentation, and third-party reports.ย 
  • Support entitlement processes by coordinating with municipalities, consultants, and internal stakeholders.ย 
  • Assist in construction management activities, including tracking project progress, coordinating contractors, and helping ensure timelines and budgets are maintained.ย 

Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as a key point of contact between the Family Office, founding family members, and service providers.ย 
  • Provide regular updates on property status, projects, and any emerging issues.ย 
  • Maintain clear accountability while navigating multiple stakeholder expectations.ย 

Logistics & Mobility

  • Travel regularly between properties, retail locations, and service providers.ย 
  • Maintain a high level of organization across multiple sites and priorities.ย 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Proven experience in property management, estate management, construction coordination, or a related field.ย

  • High level of discretion and experience working in confidential environments.ย

The Property Manager must always operate with professionalism and decorum, particularly when interacting with family members and within private residences
