Weekend Project Coordinator information

What is a weekend project coordinator?

Weekend Project Coordinators are professionals responsible for overseeing and managing projects that occur during weekends. They ensure that all aspects of a project, such as scheduling, resource allocation, and communication, run smoothly outside of regular weekday hours. Their duties often include coordinating with team members, monitoring progress, addressing any issues that arise, and ensuring project milestones are met on time. This role is critical in industries where operations or events take place over the weekend, such as construction, events, or facility maintenance.

How does a weekend project coordinator typically manage communication and collaboration with teams that may have limited availability during weekends?

As a Weekend Project Coordinator, you'll often encounter the challenge of collaborating with team members who may not be working standard hours. Effective communication is key—this usually involves setting clear expectations ahead of the weekend, leveraging project management tools to track progress, and scheduling brief check-ins or status updates at mutually convenient times. Coordinators often rely on asynchronous communication methods, such as emails or shared dashboards, to ensure everyone stays informed. Building strong relationships during the week can also help secure support and prompt responses when needed over the weekend.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a weekend project coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Weekend Project Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, project management knowledge, and often a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with project management software like Trello, Microsoft Project, or Asana, as well as basic office tools, is typically required. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities help you coordinate teams and deliver results under tight deadlines. These skills ensure projects stay on track and stakeholders remain informed, even during non-standard work hours.

Are weekend project coordinators in high demand?

Weekend project coordinators are in moderate demand, especially in industries like construction, event planning, and facilities management that require weekend scheduling. Employment opportunities depend on regional needs and industry growth, with skills in organization and communication being highly valued. Overall, demand is steady but varies by location and sector.

Is a weekend project coordinator a high paying job?

Weekend project coordinators typically earn wages similar to other entry-level or part-time roles, with pay depending on industry, location, and experience. They often require strong organizational skills and may involve flexible scheduling, but generally do not offer high salaries compared to full-time or specialized positions.

Job description

Tired of being just another number on a job site?

What if your next job actually invested in your future instead of just filling your schedule?

Must be physically located in the local area.

Maybe you're ready for more than pushing paperwork or doing the same thing every day. Maybe you enjoy figuring out how things fit together, solving problems before they become headaches, and being part of projects you can point to with pride.

At ESC, we're looking for someone who wants to build a career—not just collect a paycheck.

This isn't just a Project Coordinator position. It's an opportunity to learn every phase of commercial construction, work alongside experienced project managers, and develop skills that can take your career wherever you want it to go.

We're looking for someone who...

  • Loves solving problems and finding better ways to get things done.

  • Takes pride in staying organized when everyone else feels overwhelmed.

  • Enjoys learning new skills and isn't afraid to ask questions.

  • Pays attention to the details because they know details matter.

  • Communicates well with people in the office, shop, and field.

  • Wants to be part of a team where everyone wins together.

  • Values hard work, integrity, and doing things the right way.

  • Wants a career with opportunities to grow—not just another job.

What You'll Be Part Of

As a Project Coordinator, you'll help move projects from the first set of plans to successful completion by supporting our Project Managers with:

  • Reviewing construction plans and specifications.

  • Performing material takeoffs and assisting with project estimating.

  • Coordinating project drawings, revisions, and documentation.

  • Communicating with fabrication, vendors, customers, and field crews.

  • Keeping projects organized and moving forward.

  • Learning CAD software and additional construction management skills when needed.

  • Helping improve the systems and processes that make our team more successful.

Every day is different. Every project brings new challenges. Every opportunity helps you grow.

What Makes ESC Different?

We're building more than projects—we're building careers.

We know work matters, but so does everything waiting for you after work. Whether it's hunting season, fishing at the lake, Friday night football, racing on the weekends, or spending time with your family, we believe your career should support the life you want—not compete with it.

Our team believes in:

  • Grit when challenges arise.

  • Loyalty to one another.

  • Enjoying the Journey instead of just chasing the finish line.

  • Integrity in every decision.

  • A Positive Mindset that helps us overcome obstacles together.

If those values sound like you, you'll fit right in.

Qualifications

  • Construction experience preferred.

  • Ability to read blueprints or construction plans is preferred.

  • Estimating, drafting, or project coordination experience is a plus, but we'll teach the right person.

  • CAD experience is helpful but not required.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving ability.

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • Eager to learn new software and construction processes.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay: $22.00–$26.00 per hour (based on experience)

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • A team that wants to see you succeed professionally and personally

  • Opportunities to grow your knowledge, responsibilities, and career

If you're looking for a place where your work matters, your growth is encouraged, and your teammates genuinely enjoy the journey together, we'd love to meet you.

Apply today and build a career you'll be proud of.
