Position Overview:

Responsible for administering and/or proctoring exams for students in the Testing Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers exams for students requiring 504 Accommodations in the Testing Center 
  • Administers other exams given through the Testing Center, including: a. Makeup exams b. TEAS tests c. ATI assessments 
  • Maintains security of exams and materials by routinely inventorying materials, reviewing procedures for safety, ensuring secure storage, and returning all test materials to appropriate faculty/staff 
  • Adheres to college procedures for the distribution, collection, and return of testing materials 
  • Understands correct testing procedures and monitors for student dishonesty or unethical behaviors during exams 
  • Provides excellent customer service and effective communication to students, faculty, and staff 
  • Prepares and schedules student exams based on course schedule and individual needs 
  • Maintains confidential records and adheres to FERPA as it relates to testing services 
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows schedule to meet the demands of the job 
  • Refers students who need support services to appropriate resources 
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED; some college preferred. 
  • Experience/Skills: • Knowledge of testing procedures and ability to monitor student dishonesty or unethical behavior. • Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks with attention to details • 504 testing requirements, processes, and procedures • Computer and iPad-based testing • Must be able to sit at a desk for up to eight (8) hours at a time, to reach overhead, bend, and stretch. And lift 35 pounds. 
  • Degree of Supervision: Minimal
