Position Description:
The Part time Proctor will greet students and administer computer, paper, and pencil examinations. The Part time Proctor will distribute test materials and describe to students the testing process. The Part time Proctor will provide orientation and testing information to incoming candidates.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Check in candidates and describe the testing process to examinees.
  • Proctor computer, paper and pencil examinations.
  • Regulate flow of candidates into the testing area.
  • Provide assistance to candidates.
  • Print candidate test score reports at the end of each candidate's testing session, and maintain files/records with testing records for each candidate tested.
  • Start up and close down all the computer stations using established protocols at the beginning and end of operation hours.
  • Ensure a welcoming, non-threatening environment for examinees.
  • Introduce students to college services and entry assessment information.
  • Utilize technology, including AI-enabled tools and software where appropriate, to support the effective performance of assigned duties, enhance productivity, improve communication and information management, support decision-making, and other responsibilities, while ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements, institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Hours/Schedule: This is a part time position that will work less than 20 hours per week Monday-Friday with varying hours, and occasional weekend hours will be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • At least 15 credit hours of higher education.
  • At least two (2) years' experience in a position demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computers and/or computerized assessment testing, with ability to perform essential operations (scrolling, limited keyboarding, printing, start-up and shutdown of computers) and troubleshoot basic technical problems.
  • Demonstrated high level of customer service and positive attitude towards serving the college community.
  • Possess good judgment, resourcefulness, and a high degree of discretion in handling confidential test score information and protected proctor passwords.
  • Excellent organizational skills to help the testing process run efficiently.
  • Ability to use workplace technology relevant to the position, including the capacity to learn and appropriately leverage emerging AI-supported tools. Ability to assess the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated content, maintain confidentiality, and apply sound judgment and ethical practices in the use of technology.
