Head Lifeguard - Country Club

Position Summary

The Head Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and safety of the country club swimming facilities. This position supervises lifeguard staff, ensures compliance with all safety regulations, maintains a clean and welcoming pool environment, and provides excellent member service. The Head Lifeguard serves as the lead aquatic safety professional and acts as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and emergency preparedness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pool Safety & Operations

  • Supervise all swimming pool activities to ensure the safety of members and guests.
  • Enforce pool rules, policies, and safety procedures consistently and professionally.
  • Monitor pool conditions, water clarity, and deck safety hazards.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain accurate incident and accident reports.

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise lifeguards and pool attendants.
  • Conduct regular in-service training and emergency drills.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure all staff certifications remain current.

Member Service

  • Provide exceptional customer service to club members and guests.
  • Address member concerns or complaints in a courteous and professional manner.

Facility Maintenance
