We continue to grow and are seeking a solution-oriented and customer-focused Pool Repair & Renovation Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for providing excellent on-site pool service and repair to each and every customer by diagnosing root cause and contributing factors with the swimming pool/equipment. This includes following our proven process for diagnosing issues, successfully communicating alternative solutions to the customer, completing the solution in an efficient manner and following all established protocols and sharing lessons learned with the rest of our team.
The ideal person for this position will love to work outdoors. They will be a self- starter who has the ability to work independently with minimal oversight and guidance. They will handle all matters with integrity and embrace the concept and requirements of delivering "resort-quality service".
Responsibilities:
Success in this position will be determined by the following measurable results:
  • Manage a daily schedule of work orders.
  • Diagnose, Problem Solve, and Repair of pool pumps, heaters, filters, timers, pool cleaners, blowers, lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, salt cells, backwash valves, PVC plumbing, copper plumbing, and galvanized plumbing. Lastly, successfully perform leak detections, patch and install liners.
  • Knowledge of 110 volt and 220-volt electrical equipment.
  • The ability to manage an inventory of equipment on the truck and properly utilize and replenish the inventory when needed.
  • Responsible for keeping vehicle clean and stocked with tools/equipment needed for that day's repairs.
  • The ability to utilize a smart phone for our Pool Brain mobile platform.
  • The ability to spot opportunities outside of the repair call, such as upgrading other equipment or adding to the customer experience with other products.
  • New build experience - dig, grade, backfill, and set equipment.
  • Renovation experience - Re-plaster or equivalent, tile replacement/repair, deck texture/seal, pavers install/repair, crack reinforcement.

Duties and Expectations:
  • Interact with residential and commercial customers on the following:
    • Gunite pools - plaster, pebble, quartz, tile, etc.
    • Fiberglass pool
    • Vinyl liners pools
    • Pool Deck - deck replacement, resurface, pavers, etc.
    • Hardscapes - outdoor fireplaces, kitchens, etc.
  • Ability to comfortably lift and carry 50 pounds, perhaps multiple times in a day, and, at times, lift and carry 100 pounds.
  • Provide Leadership and management to new pool construction and renovation projects; includes plaster, tile, coping, and equipment installs.
  • ASP uniform must be worn each day and should not be tattered or torn and should be clean and presentable.
  • Be courteous with customers when talking with them.
  • Utilize the ASP Online Training Site so that you can continue to learn and be current on proper pool cleaning techniques and water chemistry strategies.

Requirements:
Requirements for this position are that you have:
(1) a valid driver's license with a clean driving record;
(2) no felony convictions (must pass a criminal background check)
(3) the ability to lift up to 100 lbs;
No other specific experience is required as we will teach you the ASP methods designed to give our customers superior value and to maximize your earning potential; however, a high school degree and Certified Pool Operator License is preferred

This position has the potential of earning a monthly bonus by the company when specific monthly metrics are met.
