Job description

Job Summary

As a Line Assembler is responsible for assembling industrial chillers and related mechanical and electrical components according to engineering specifications and production standards. This role ensures high-quality builds through safe work practices, precise assembly, and adherence to established procedures. The Assembler works as part of a production team to meet daily output and quality goals while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Hours are Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 4:30PM with overtime on weekends if needed. If overtime is mandated you will be required to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble industrial chiller units and subassemblies (mechanical, structural, and electrical components) using hand and power tools
  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, bill of materials, and standard operating procedures
  • Install components such as frames, piping, heat exchangers, fans, motors, compressors, wiring harnesses, and control systems
  • Perform routing, measuring, fitting, and fastening of parts per specifications
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure assembly accuracy and product functionality
  • Report defects, part shortages, or production issues to supervisors
  • Meet production schedule targets and maintain consistent workmanship standards
  • Comply with all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
  • Maintain work area organization (5S) and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with team members and support cross-training as needed
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, HVAC, mechanical, or electrical work (industrial or heavy manufacturing preferred)
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, written instructions, and technical documentation
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring instruments
  • Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical assembly fundamentals
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Basic knowledge of electrical components and wiring
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing or 5S principles
  • Good attendance and punctuality
  • MUST be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screen
