Job Title: Order Picker

Job Description

This role focuses on accurately picking and moving a wide variety of products using RF scanners and material handling equipment in a high-volume warehouse environment. You will work on a busy second shift, support shipping and staging operations, and play a key part in maintaining efficient inventory flow while meeting daily productivity targets.

Responsibilities

  • Use an RF scanner to locate, pick, and verify products according to order requirements.
  • Move picked products to designated shipping and staging areas using a push cart, pallet jack, or forklift.
  • Handle a wide range of items, including cases of water bottles, metal housing for PLCs, and computer or electronic parts, ensuring accuracy and care with each order.
  • Achieve an initial productivity target of approximately 100 lines picked per shift, increasing to 150–175 lines as proficiency improves.
  • Follow established picking, packing, inventory, and shipping procedures to maintain accuracy and organization.
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members regarding order issues, inventory discrepancies, or equipment needs.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and a positive attitude to support consistent warehouse operations.
  • Participate in training to learn safe and effective operation of pallet jacks and forklifts, and apply those skills in daily work.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines while walking aisles, lifting products, and operating equipment throughout the shift.
  • Support inventory control by handling products carefully and reporting any damaged or misplaced items.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with RF scanners for order picking or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to use or learn to use pallet jacks and forklifts safely and effectively.
  • Experience in picking, packing, inventory, or shipping in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Consistent attendance and strong reliability in meeting scheduled shifts.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks and equipment.
  • Clear and professional communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to walk up and down warehouse aisles for the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed during picking and material handling.

Work Environment

You will use RF scanners, push carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts to move and organize inventory in a busy, high-volume setting. The environment is fast-paced and production-driven, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and consistent workflow throughout the shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
