Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

ABOUT THE ROLE
An Inserter Operator wanted! Join our team and take charge of setting up, operating, and monitoring high-speed automated inserters. You'll tackle a variety of mailing jobs every day, each with unique specifications, while ensuring accuracy and full compliance with USPS regulations for letters, flats, and more. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and understand production work orders; communicate with other departments and staff members to gather any additional information needed to complete the job.
  • Operate Pitney Bowes FPS inserting system / VDP Inline inkjet.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of mail production and finishing equipment, which may include high-speed inserters, roll-fed systems, Pitney Bowes meters, and stamping equipment, depending on location.
  • Ability to complete setup and change over between a variety of job types from A7, #10, 6 x 9, 10 x 13
  • Read and understand job tickets and set the machine up to meet the requirements of each job
  • Familiar with inline inkjet and variable data
  • Familiar with match inserting using 2D, 3 of 9, Code 128 barcodes
  • Reconcile jobs in the online reporting system
  • Knowledge of USPS mailing requirements
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs, be on feet for 8 hours, overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Identify maintenance needs for machinery
  • Monitor the running of machines and train other operators on proper operation.
  • Troubleshoots problems and takes corrective action, makes repairs, and notifies supervisor of difficulties.
  • Communicates information to other shift operators.
  • Works with safety in mind and reports any potential unsafe circumstances.
  • Willing to work in other departments if requested.
  • Maintains a high level of accurate and quality-assured work.
  • Follow and adhere to HIPAA and FSC company guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 6 months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance.
