If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Operational Excellence Manager in Sumter SC. Relocation assistance provided to eligible candidates within the US.

As the OpEx Manager at our Sumter campus, you will own and lead the Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Systems and Continuous Improvement engineering functions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our site's operational strategy, driving productivity projects, and advancing our Eaton Business System maturity levels. What you'll do: Lead and Inspire: Oversee the Manufacturing Engineering, Systems, Facilities Management, and Continuous Improvement engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute site operational footprint plans to support Eaton Sumter's growth, manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 advancement objectives. Collaborate and Train: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, train, and lead improvement events, enhancing employee engagement and the effectiveness of continuous improvement activities using methodologies like A3, Lean, and BPS. Maintain Excellence: Ensure ISO 9001 registration with zero major findings, demonstrating our commitment to quality

Drive Maturity: Lead planning and execution of activities to enhance results on Eaton's Operating Assessment (OpA) manufacturing maturity process. Including ownership of Daily Accountability Process (DAP), Business Teams, 5S+ and Leadership Standardized work. Process Standardization & Capability: Establish and define process standards and methods that delivers products that exceed customer expectations across all value streams (PFEMA, Control Plans, RPN reductions) Design and Innovate: Lead the design, development, and revision of workstation designs, method sheets, work instructions, and manufacturing aids.

Management of Change: Leads plant's MOC process, ensuring all product, process, supplier, and documentation changes are risk-assessed, cross-functionally aligned, properly communicated, validated, implemented, and closed with full traceability and accountability. Achieve Savings: Develop and implement projects to meet the site's Cost Out savings and productivity goals. Promote Safety: Champion a Zero Safety Incident culture through cultural, behavioral, and engineering improvements to prevent employee injuries.

Manage CapEx: Own the CapEx profit plan and oversee the execution of key projects across the campus. Develop Talent: Invest in the growth of the OpEx Department by providing training and professional development opportunities. Advance I4.0: Lead the site's Industry 4.0 roadmap, leveraging digital tools and automation to enhance decision-making, safety, quality, and productivity

Plan Capacity: Manage installed capacity planning and execution as part of the SIOP process to ensure machine and layout capacities align with the profit plan. Visual Management and Aesthetics: Drive projects to maintain strong site visual controls and aesthetics across the manufacturing site, including exterior, office, and shop floor areas. Support Sustainability: Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency in line with Eaton's 2030 GHG reduction goals.

Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of seven (7) years of manufacturing experience Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing people or project teams within a manufacturing environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications: Facilities Management: Proven experience in managing facilities. Quality Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager certificate. Six Sigma: Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt.

Skills: Position Success Criteria: Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication and teaching skills. Conflict Management: Ability to manage conflict while maintaining professionalism. Responsiveness: Must be responsive and able to address emergency actions in support of a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Manufacturing Tools Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency with Lean, Six-Sigma, and problem-solving/decision-making tools. Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirements. Influence: Ability to influence without authority.

Reliability & Accountability: Consistently delivers on commitments, maintains attention to detail, and can be relied upon to coordinate, track, and drive change activities to timely and effective closure All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process. All candidates will be evaluated based on job-related competencies, and all candidates' privacy rights and data security will be protected in accordance with applicable laws. The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
