JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager serves as a key organizational leader responsible for integrating, directing, and optimizing the expanding operations of Frog Environmental and Clear Water Services. This role ensures operational accountability, financial stewardship, efficient workforce utilization, and consistently high quality service delivery across the California market. As a critical member of the operations team, the Operations Manager oversees field services, warehouse operations, and management functions, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated to support organizational goals and long term growth. The position requires a strategic and proactive approach to workforce planning, staff leadership, and operational coordination, including oversight of scheduling for both field and warehouse operations.

In addition to managing day to day operational performance, the Operations Manager leads special projects and cross-functional initiatives that strengthen efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. Success in this role depends on strong leadership, clear communication, and exceptional organizational and time management skills to uphold environmental responsibility, regulatory compliance, and superior client satisfaction across all operations.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Operations Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the effective, efficient, and professional management of both Frog and CWS business units. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role partners closely with regional managers, and other senior leaders to drive operational excellence, optimize workforce and project performance, and strengthen service delivery across all functions. 

This position plays a critical role in strategic workforce planning, project execution, and cross-departmental coordination. The Operations Manager ensures all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and in full compliance with regulatory, environmental, and company standards. Key responsibilities include maximizing labor utilization, enhancing client relationships, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement to advance operational efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ years experience as an Operations Manager or in a senior leadership role
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive operational excellence 
  • Ability to effectively partner with senior leaders, regional managers and field services team members to coordinate and align organizational priorities
  • Skilled in identifying operational inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and driving culture
  • Willingness and ability to work long days to meet customer and team members needs
  • 6+ years experience in resource allocation, and labor forecasting
  • 4+ years experience in high level management
  • Strong time management skills
  • Experience in corporate safety


PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • QSP/QSD/QISP/CGP
  • Familiarity with the California industrial general permit
  • Previous experience in construction/industrial stormwater a plus
  • Dewatering experience 
  • Knowledge of BMP installation and management 


WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work is performed primarily in a professional office setting at our Signal Hill location. This role requires frequent interaction with team members, leadership, and operational staff in a typical business office environment. Periodic travel may be required to conduct site walks, visit other Tidal Vision operational facilities, and support field or shop activities.

While performing any field related activity, the Operations Manager must adhere to all applicable safety protocols and may be exposed to varying environmental conditions, including outdoor weather, noise, and active work areas. The position may involve walking on uneven surfaces, standing for extended periods, and navigating operational facilities or project sites as needed.
