As Dining Room Supervisor you'll be leading the front of the house staff and dining room service for all meals in a dynamic environment with new challenges every day. Unlike other similar culinary roles in hospitality, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships with the people you serve and experience the gratitude for doing a job well-done.

What Cascade Living and Cascades of the Sierra look for in a Dining Room Supervisor:
  • 2 year relevant work experience required
  • Demonstrates deep compassion, understanding and heart of kindness to all of our residents and guests
  • Willingness to train and learn new skills
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Experience and/or training in nutrition, food preparation, safe food handling techniques and food service management.
  • Ability to hire, train and manage food service personnel and provide effective work direction.
  • Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner
  • Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families
  • Experience in nutrition, food preparation and safe food handling
  • Strong customer service skills with ability to problem solve
  • Ability to hire, train and provide leadership for Food and Dining personnel
  • Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day
  • Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite as well as the ability to learn new applications
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends

What you can expect to do as a Dining Room Supervisor for Cascades of the Sierra:
  • Supervise all dining service activities in the community's main dining room and potentially other eating areas
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff
  • Demonstrate organizational skills around time management
  • Oversee a budget and maintain records and reports
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures
  • Ensure cleanliness in both kitchen and dining room
  • Work on special events on a monthly basis
  • Ensure meals are prepared on time and served efficiently
  • Evaluate employee performance and assume responsibility for recruiting, hiring and training new employees
  • Promote the mission, values and beliefs of Cascade Living

Position Requirements:

  • Liquor Serving Card

$18.00 - $20.00/hour
