Job description

Ride Operator - Traders Village Houston (WEEKEND ONLY)
Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 9 AM - Close
Job Overview:
Provide guests-especially children-with a safe and enjoyable amusement ride experience. This role requires attention to detail, patience, and excellent customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain ride area in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
  • Follow all ride policies and procedures while operating the ride.
  • Stay alert and aware of safety regulations at all times.
  • Collect ride tickets and load guests safely, securing all straps, belts, and latches.
  • Monitor the ride and guests while the ride is in motion.
  • Assist guests off the ride once it comes to a complete stop.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Must be at least 17 years old
  • No prior experience necessary - training provided.
  • Must complete a two-week ride-training program and pass the written test.
  • Must be available to work every weekend.
  • Ability to lift and push a minimum of 35 lbs.
  • Must be patient with children.
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills; bilingual a plus.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to stand for long hours, walk long distances, bend, stoop, and work in both heat and cold.
