Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Profession: RN (Registered Nurse)

Must-Have:
- 2 years of prior experience in Labor & Delivery, preferably with travel experience
- C-section experience required, including scrub, recovery, and circulate
- Familiarity with fetal monitoring systems
Description:
Unit has 10 Labor & Delivery beds and 2 operating rooms.
There are 2 triage beds and 18 postpartum beds.
The unit experiences approximately 130 births per month.
Patient ratios are 1:1 close to delivery, 1:2 otherwise, and 1:4 for couplets in postpartum.
The electronic medical record system used is Cerner.
The charge nurse role is shared between Labor & Delivery and postpartum.
There are scrub techs available in Labor & Delivery.
Weekend requirement is 4 shifts in a 4-week period.
Holidays require 1 major and 1 minor holiday off.
There is no call requirement for this position.
Common diagnoses include deliveries down to 23 weeks, with some high-risk conditions.
Perinatology support is available for cardiac abnormalities.
The unit is the largest area of need.
Floating policy requires staff to float to postpartum only if they do not have a NICU background.
Three shifts of floor-specific orientation are provided.
Pharmacy and respiratory therapy are available 24/7.
