Location: Forsyth Medical Center - Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | 3 shifts per week | Rotating weekends
Department: Emergency Observation Unit
Join a Remarkable Team
The Emergency Observation Unit, under the Umbrella of the Emergency Department at Forsyth Medical Center is seeking a talented, compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 18-bed unit caring for patients who require short-term monitoring and evaluation, typically for 1-2 nights, but do not yet meet criteria for inpatient admission. Patients admitted to the EOU often need additional testing, treatment, or observation to determine the next step in their care. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

What You'll Do
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to ED holding patients
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to changing clinical needs
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
  • Educate patients and families on condition management and treatment plans

What We're Looking For
  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  2. Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  3. Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required.
  4. One-year relevant experience, preferred.
