Job Description
  • Complete assigned service calls, repairs, or installations in a timely manner by assisting the Lead Technician in charge.
Hours & Working Conditions
  • Schedule: Average 40 hours per week (typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weekdays).
  • Flexibility: Overtime and weekend on-call shifts required as needed.
  • Environment: May work outside, in crawlspaces, closets, and attics.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The A/C Tech Helper will assist the assigned Technician on duty with the following:

  • Complete approved repairs, improvements, or installations within industry standard hours.
  • Clean equipment and work areas to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all paperwork and documentation required by management.

  • Maintain truck inventory and keep the assigned service vehicle clean and organized.
  • Track vehicle maintenance and alert management when service is necessary.
  • Contact the office after each call to provide updates and receive next dispatch instructions.
  • Provide customers with information and pricing on service agreements, accessories, and comfort improvements.
  • Inform customers about new equipment options when repairs exceed specified amounts or existing equipment is over 10 years old.
  • Perform equipment installations and/or maintenance work as needed.
  • Identify and suggest opportunities for quality and cost improvements.
Job Requirements
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required by company insurance).
  • Ability to drive, walk, climb stairs, bend, reach, and crawl in tight spaces.
  • Ability to follow company processes, instructions, directions, policies, and procedures.
  • Standard technician hand tools required.
  • A neat, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Experience: Some experience helping or working within the Air Conditioning industry is preferred.
