What is a weekend nurse residency program?

A Weekend Nurse Residency Program is a structured training and support program designed for newly graduated nurses who work primarily on weekends. These programs offer hands-on clinical experience, mentorship, and classroom instruction to help new nurses transition smoothly from school to professional practice. Participants typically work weekend shifts while receiving the guidance and resources needed to develop their clinical skills and confidence. The goal is to ensure patient safety and nurse retention by providing comprehensive support during the early stages of a nursing career.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a weekend nurse residency program participant?

To thrive in a Weekend Nurse Residency Program, you need a recent nursing degree, RN licensure, and foundational clinical skills in patient care and assessment. Training typically involves hands-on experience with electronic health records (EHRs), patient monitoring systems, and hospital protocols under supervision. Strong time management, adaptability, and effective communication make residents stand out as they transition from student to practicing nurse. These skills and qualities are crucial for building confidence and competence in high-pressure weekend shifts, ensuring patient safety and professional growth.

What unique challenges and benefits can I expect as a participant in a weekend nurse residency program?

As a Weekend Nurse Resident, you'll likely manage a diverse patient load during high-acuity weekend shifts, which can present unique learning opportunities and challenges compared to traditional weekday programs. You may experience greater exposure to critical situations, but also benefit from closer mentorship and smaller weekend teams. This structure helps you build confidence and clinical skills quickly while maintaining a work-life balance during weekdays. Collaboration with other weekend staff fosters strong team dynamics, and successful completion of the program can position you for rapid advancement or transition into specialized nursing roles.

Job description

Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) - Restore Hyper Wellness  ( Weekends)

Earn $42- $48

Are you passionate about fitness, driven, want to learn sales, and want to help our community get healthy?

Do you enjoy a high-energy, very extroverted, and assertive "service-sales" environment?

We are looking for a unique kind of Nurse—one who balances clinical excellence with a heart for hospitality and a drive for connection.

If you are an RN who thrives in a social, high-energy environment and wants to be rewarded for the level of care and connection you provide, this is the perfect role for you.

Schedule & Flexibility

  • Weekend Focus: 2-3 shifts per week.
  • Shift Options: Flexible 5-hour or 9-hour shifts to fit your lifestyle.

The Role

As a Weekend Nurse at Restore Hyper Wellness, you are far more than a clinician. You are a wellness advocate and a "service-sales" professional. You will provide life-changing treatments like IV Drip Therapy and IM Shots while building deep, genuine connections with our members. We value your nursing skills, but we hire for your passion for hospitality and customer service. In this role, your ability to connect directly impacts your success and earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hospitality-First Care: Provide an elite level of customer service, ensuring every member feels like a VIP from the moment they walk in.
  • Assertive Wellness Advocacy: Use your clinical expertise to confidently recommend services and "sell" the benefits of our wellness protocols to help members reach their goals.
  • Clinical Excellence: Perform IV starts, blood draws, and medical clearances with precision and a high-energy, positive attitude.
  • Relationship Building: Create lasting connections with clients, turning one-time visits into long-term wellness journeys.

Who You Are

  • Licensed (Idaho) RN: You have the credentials, but you aren't a "typical" clinical nurse—you love the energy of a boutique wellness environment.
  • Hospitality or Sales Experience: You have a background in (or a deep passion for) hospitality, sales, or high-end customer service.
  • Extroverted & Assertive: You enjoy meeting new people, leading conversations, and making bold recommendations for health.
  • Driven to Earn: You want a role where your ability to connect with people and drive results is recognized and rewarded.

Why Join the Restore Team?

We offer a vibrant, non-traditional nursing environment where you can leave the stress of the hospital behind and focus on preventative health and performance. If you are a high-energy RN ready to blend medical skill with elite service, apply today!

Compensation begins at $38/hr as a Full Time Nurse with a Lead Nurse earning an additional $5 an hour for responsibilities. Our nurses also earn commissions and tips earning on average an extra $5-$10 an hour.

Benefits for full and part time employees include free and discounted products and services in the store.  Full time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits after 60 days.

IV RN Primary Responsibilities:

  • Educating clients on the qualities and benefits of our IV Drips and Intramuscular Injections
  • Administering IV Drip Therapy and Intramuscular Injections to deliver a variety of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants
  • Guiding clients through Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy sessions
  • Documenting client visits through the use of Electronic Medical Records
  • Ability to excel in a multitasking environment
  • Assisting staff with store services
  • Participating in occasional off-site nursing events as needed
  • Opportunity to earn extra money with concierge visits
  • Proficient in Excel spreadsheets and Google Docs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Value ethics and integrity
  • Ability to work as a team and independently
  • Comfortable in a retail/sales environment
  • Excellent customer service and ability to create a service oriented experience for the clients
  • Training  new nurses and helping with continuing education.

Mandatory Registered Nurse Requirements:

  • Valid State of Idaho Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Excellent peripheral IV insertion skills - training will not be completed without being able to pass the IV skills assessment and review.
  • Mandatory 1+ years of experience as a nurse in a medical setting (ER, ICU, OR, PRE-OP or similar).
  • Understand the importance of maintaining medical compliance and adhere to all policies and procedures.
