Job description

Help Us Save Lives on Connecticut Roads as our next Road Safety Technology OperatorAbout this role

As a Road Safety Technology Operator, you are the frontline of our mission to change behaviours and save lives on our roads. You will be responsible for deploying and operating our world-leading AI speed detection platforms in Connecticut.

Why Join Us
  • Mission with Meaning: Your work directly contributes to reducing road fatalities and injuries by tackling speeding on our roads
  • Cutting-Edge Tech: Gain hands-on experience with sophisticated imaging, radar, and AI-driven mobile enforcement platforms.
  • Dynamic Work Environment: Escape the office—this is a high-autonomy field role where no two days (or nights) are the same.

The Mission

Based in our Connecticut operations hub, you will manage the safe deployment, alignment, and movement of Acusensus speed detection platforms. This is a technical, field-based role requiring a high degree of independence. Operating on a flexible 24/7 rotating roster, you will act as a professional advocate for road safety while managing high-stakes technology in diverse outdoor environments.

What You'll Do
  • Lead Field Deployments: Conduct comprehensive site risk assessments and utilize mobile apps to document safety compliance before every session.
  • Master the Technology: Set up and align mobile AI cars and trailers, monitoring camera and radar systems to ensure 100% data integrity.
  • Maintain Peak Performance: Perform routine infield maintenance and equipment checks to ensure our life-saving tech is always mission-ready.
  • Liaise with the Hub: Maintain constant communication with our Network Operations Center (NOC) for real-time operational support and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Public Interaction: Act as a professional ambassador for Acusensus, handling public inquiries with a calm and positive attitude.
  • Ensure Operational Quality: Adhere to strict ISO standards (9001, 45001, 27001, 14001) to maintain the highest levels of safety and information security.
What You Bring
  • Driving Excellence: A valid Driver’s License with safe driving behaviours
  • Towing Proficiency: Experience in towing and reversing trailers is ideal for this role.
  • Shift work availability: Willingness to work day and night shifts.
  • Technical Agility: Ability to quickly learn proprietary software and manage hardware in the field.
  • Environmental Resilience: A "get-it-done" attitude with the willingness to work in all weather conditions and near moving traffic.
  • Professional Integrity: High attention to detail and a commitment to ethical conduct when handling sensitive enforcement data.
  • Ability to work Part Time Casual hours: This position is offered on a part time casual basis, meaning weekly hours are not fixed and will vary depending on both your availability and the State's operational deployment needs. Hours may be available for night or day shifts that may run from 6-8 hours per deployment. Some weeks may involve little to no scheduled hours due to factors such as inclement weather or periods when the State does not require deployments.
What you'll love

You’ll be joining a dedicated US Service team that thrives on autonomy and reliability. While you'll spend much of your time in the field with our cars or trailers, you are backed by a global network of "the smartest team members on the planet." We value Care and Collaboration, ensuring you have the support needed to succeed on the road. We offer benefits including attractive compensation along with 401k.
