Job description

At Moxy St. Petersburg Downtown, our rooftop pool is a vibrant destination where guests come to relax, socialize, and enjoy exceptional food and beverages. As a Pool Server, you are responsible for delivering memorable service by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service in a fast-paced outdoor setting. You will create a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless dining experience that reflects the energetic spirit of the Moxy brand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Welcome guests in a warm, friendly, and engaging manner while creating a memorable poolside experience.

Present menus, answer questions, and make knowledgeable recommendations on food, beverages, cocktails, beer, and wine.

Accurately take food and beverage orders using the property's point-of-sale (POS) system.

Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation and quality standards are met.

Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to requests or concerns.

Maintain awareness of guests' needs by refilling beverages, clearing tables, and anticipating service opportunities.

Verify guest age and follow all responsible alcohol service laws and company policies.

Process guest payments accurately and efficiently.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service areas, tables, cabanas, lounges, and pool deck.

Complete opening, closing, and side work duties, including stocking service stations and maintaining supplies.

Work closely with bartenders, kitchen staff, and fellow team members to ensure efficient service.

Support special events, rooftop activations, live entertainment, and private functions.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and safety standards.

Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting pool environment.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Previous serving experience in a restaurant, hotel, resort, or pool environment preferred.

Hospitality experience in a high-volume setting is highly desirable.

Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Basic knowledge of food, wine, beer, and cocktails preferred.

Must be available to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events.

Must obtain all required Florida food handler and alcohol awareness certifications.
