Job description

DC Fabricator (DCF) is seeking a talented Metal Finisher to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in Florence, NJ.

At DCF, you’ll be part of a skilled team that delivers high-quality, made-to-spec components where precision, reliability, and customer focus matter. Whether you’re driving results in the office or making them happen on the shop floor, you’ll collaborate across departments to solve problems, support efficient operations, and help ensure every component is completed safely, accurately, and with precision!

The Metal Finisher is responsible for reading and understanding assembly instructions and steel blueprints and ensuring that the required parts are present and meet quality control standards. The regular hours for this position are 3:30pm-12:00am with training occurring on day shift (7:00am-3:30pm).

Essential Duties of the Metal Finisher:

The following points reflect the general details of the principal functions considered necessary to perform this job. However, it should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent to the position.

  • Clean, grind, polish and perform all types of metal finishing work on stainless steel and other metals, by hand or using hand-held power tools or other specialized machines
  • Apply finishes to metals
  • All other duties as assigned

Education/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years of experience with power tools
  • 2+ years of experience with metalwork
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication is a plus
  • The successful candidate is eager to learn and willing to be trained, has an excellent attendance record, and is self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Must have the physical ability to carry hand tools and items weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for the majority of the day
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments
  • US citizenship is required
