Job description

Primary Function:
The Bulk Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring Coca-Cola products are properly stocked, rotated, and displayed in retail accounts throughout the South Market. This role plays a key part in maintaining product quality, visibility, and customer satisfaction while supporting route delivery operations.

Market Assignment:
This position serves the Central Market, which encompasses, but is not limited to, Durham, Southpoint, and Morrisville.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Learn and effectively use company ordering systems and handheld equipment to manage product inventory and orders.

  • Maintain well-stocked, clean, and organized product displays in all assigned retail accounts — including shelves, coolers, fast lanes, and promotional areas.

  • Rotate products to ensure freshness and remove out-of-date items according to company standards.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with store personnel, delivering superior customer service in every interaction.

  • Arrange and merchandise products according to company guidelines to maximize visibility and sales impact.

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in customer backrooms, including product storage and inventory areas.

  • Ensure the accurate accounting of all product, cash, and company assets daily.

  • Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.

  • Utilize a personal vehicle for travel between assigned retail accounts in the South Market.

  • Maintain active North Carolina driver’s license, registration, and insurance at all times as a condition of employment.

  • Perform additional duties or special assignments as directed by management.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate required.

  • Valid North Carolina Driver License, vehicle registration, active insurance, and reliable personal vehicle required.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in stocking, route delivery, merchandising, or retail preferred.

  • Excellent driving record, particularly over the past seven years (7-year Motor Vehicle Report required).

  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently and 30 pounds overhead regularly.

  • Ability to push, pull, kneel, stoop, bend, and stand for up to 8 hours daily.

  • Availability to work one weekend per month and some holidays as required.

  • Strong work ethic demonstrating dependability, integrity, initiative, and attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.

  • Must successfully pass a background check, Motor Vehicle Report review, and company drug testing requirements.
