Job description

Medical Assistant

Immediate contract position available for our physician practice group in Howard Beach, NY. Experience with Family Medicine or Primary Care a plus!

Pay Rate: $23.00/hr Work Schedule:

  • 10:00am - 6:00pm (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
  • 4 days per week

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain the patient's medical history and document in the electronic medical record
  • Medical chart review, assisting providers, rooming patients, taking patient vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy and preparation of exam rooms
  • Assist with front desk responsibilities, if needed

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and at least 6 months MA experience
  • BLS Certification
  • Be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • EPIC system experience a plus
