An International company with a facility near Farmington, MI is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Controls Field Service Engineer for direct hire opportunities with their growing team. These are exciting opportunities for experienced Electrical Controls Engineers looking for a company that offers excellent management, career growth, development, and competitive rates.

Senior Electrical Controls Field Service Engineer will be working a full-time day shift with occasional work on weekends and nights, with pay anticipated to be between $115,000 - $135,000 based on each candidate’s experience and education. All well-qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. We offer excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, vacation/PTO, bonuses, and more.

Qualified Senior Electrical Controls Field Service Engineer will possess most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, or an equivalent degree; OR
  • Associate’s degree in electrical / Electronic Technology or Mechatronics with substantial relevant industry experience.

Experience

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in industrial controls engineering, machine controls design, and commissioning.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting field service on installed industrial machinery, including independent customer-facing problem solving.
  • In-depth experience writing and programming ladder logic, function block, and HMI screens using Siemens (Step 7 / TIA Portal) and/or Allen Bradley platforms.
  • Hands-on experience starting up machines after mechanical assembly through customer acceptance.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 79 / NFPA 70 / NEC requirements for industrial machinery electrical design. Ability to travel 50%+ on short notice – Primarily domestic depending on customer needs.
  • Must be able to work in the United States and have passport for international travel
  • Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, etc.
