The Manufacturing Engineer will be the first line of support for manufacturing operations, focusing on troubleshooting equipment issues, implementing process improvements, and supporting new product introductions (NPIs). This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient, compliant, and reliable production processes. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary Line Support: Serve as the first point of escalation for the GMP Line Technician requiring support, responding to equipment issues and troubleshooting in real-time. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process and equipment enhancements through Management of Change (MOC) initiatives. 
  • NPI Support: Serve as the SME liaison for MSAT core teams during new customer program onboarding. 
  • Escalation Management: Coordinate with Automation, Facilities, and external vendors for complex technical issues. 
  • Documentation: Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect changes in equipment operation or functionality. 
  • Training: Provide training for operators and technicians on process and equipment changes. 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial preferred). 
  • 3+ years of experience in GMP manufacturing, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting equipment. 
  • Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. 
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and engineering software tools.

  • Ability to safely wear and work in a PAPR hood and associated equipment weighing approximately 2 to 3 pounds during assigned tasks.
  • Ability to perform sustained physical activities, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and handling manufacturing equipment while wearing required respiratory protection and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to wear and operate a Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) for extended periods, up to 4 to 6 hours per shift, while performing manufacturing, equipment cleaning, and sanitization activities.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including pharmaceutical gowning, respiratory protection, safety glasses, chemical-resistant gloves, and additional protective equipment as required by operational and safety procedures.
