About the Role
Summary
The Senior Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end logistics, yard, warehouse, transportation, and distribution operations within a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-site campus environment (currently three locations and growing). This role provides both strategic and operational leadership to ensure efficient movement of goods, yard stability, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, cost control, and customer service excellence.
This position has full accountability for stabilizing and controlling all yard operations across the campus, which collectively manages approximately 900 trailer parking spaces. The Senior Logistics Manager leads weekday and weekend management teams to ensure consistent execution across all shifts and locations.
This is a highly visible, customer-facing role responsible for delivering accurate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reporting, while serving as a primary point of contact for customer communication and service execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage daily logistics, yard, warehouse, transportation, and distribution operations across a multi-site campus (3 locations and expanding)
  • Direct and oversee weekday and weekend managers, ensuring alignment, accountability, and consistent execution across all shifts
  • Maintain control and stability of all yard operations, including utilization and organization of approximately 900 trailer spaces
  • Oversee inbound and outbound trailer activity, dock flow, yard movements, and inventory transitions between yard and warehouse
  • Ensure efficient coordination of transportation schedules, carrier performance, and freight management activities
  • Drive performance improvements in throughput, trailer dwell time, yard flow, and delivery execution (OTIF performance)
  • Monitor operational workflows and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce congestion, and improve service levels
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on operational performance, KPIs, and service outcomes directly to the customer
  • Serve as a primary customer-facing contact, ensuring proactive communication, issue resolution, and service alignment
  • Support multi-site, multi-shift, and 24/7 operational environments when required
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all logistics safety and regulatory standards
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on stabilizing operations and driving campus-wide efficiency.
