Join our team as a Weekend only, PRN, Surgical Tech / CST, in the at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Hospital, in Oklahoma City, OK.

Responsibilities
The Surgical Tech is an allied health professional who supports the surgical team in delivering care to patients in a variety of settings. They assist in preparing surgical areas, managing instruments and supplies, and ensuring sterile techniques under the supervision of licensed surgical staff. This role is suitable for individuals beginning their careers in surgical services or transitioning from other clinical or patient care roles.
The Surgical Tech responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assists in maintaining the sterile field under supervision.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the procedure and supports surgical team needs.
  • Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
  • Scrubs, gowns, and gloves appropriately.
  • Sets up sterile tables with instruments and supplies under guidance.
  • Performs instrument and sponge counts with the circulator.
  • Passes instruments during surgery.
  • Aids in cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization.
  • Supports terminal cleaning of rooms and preparation for the next procedure.
  • May retrieve and transport medications (no preparation or administration).
Qualifications
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire
  • NCCT-TS-C (Tech in Surgery-Certified) OR AST-CST (Certified Surgical Tech)
    • May consider a non-certified tech that has completed a surgical technology program or has at least 1 year of scrub experience
