Discovery Kidzone is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our Bozeman team! This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow into full-time hours.
As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside our teaching team to create a safe, engaging, and positive environment where children can learn, play, and grow. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with children and wants to build experience in early childhood education.
No previous childcare experience required - we provide paid training and ongoing support!

What You'll Do
As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside Lead Teachers to support children throughout their daily routines, learning activities, and play.
Your day may include:
  • Helping create a welcoming, engaging, and safe classroom environment
  • Supporting daily classroom routines, transitions, meals, naps, diapering, and toileting
  • Engaging children through stories, music, art, movement, sensory play, and hands-on activities
  • Assisting with curriculum and small-group learning activities
  • Encouraging positive social interactions and helping children build independence
  • Supervising children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions
  • Helping maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
  • Communicating and working closely with your teaching team and center leadership
  • Stepping in to support other classrooms when needed

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
  • At least 16 years old
  • Caring, patient, dependable, and positive
  • Excited to work with young children
  • Comfortable in a busy, active classroom environment
  • Willing to learn and receive coaching
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Reliable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule
  • Willing to complete all required Montana childcare licensing and training requirements
  • CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of hire

Previous childcare experience is a plus, but it's not required. We'll help train the right person!
