What is a Weekend Leasing Agent?

A Weekend Leasing Agent is a real estate professional who works primarily on weekends to assist prospective tenants with viewing rental properties, answering inquiries, and processing rental applications. This position is common in apartment complexes and property management companies aiming to accommodate clients' schedules outside of traditional weekday hours.

Job description

As our Leasing Consultant, you will be the sales person that helps future residents find a new place to call home. You will guide them through the entire process from the initial contact, apartment tour, application process, and move-in orientation. Eventually, you'll take them through the journey of living at a Dweck community.
Our leasing offices are open 7 days a week which requires schedule availability to work weekends. Weekends are your money-making days making them the best days to work!
As a Leasing Consultant, you will:
  • be the go-to person for future residents. You'll get to know them, their must-haves and likes in an apartment to help match them with their dream home. Find out more about them to make sure they meet our leasing standards by asking a series of qualifying questions.
  • schedule in-person tours of the community with the future resident. Pictures and videos don't do justice! However, some future residents may live out of town with the idea of relocating and that's okay as we offer virtual tours.
  • give a tour of our property where you'll show off our rich amenities, outdoor space and appealing apartment homes. This is where you'll help them envision living here and living in luxury. Your goal is to get them to apply today.
  • check-in with those that didn't apply right away. Sometimes people need to think things over and that's totally fine. Stay on top of mind by following up by email, phone call or text message with the goal that they'll apply.
  • guide the future resident through the application process. This is where we'll find out if they can move forward or not.
  • go over the lease agreement, explain and hand over their keys to welcome them home. There's lots of information to cover during move-in orientation, most of it is fun stuff, the other stuff is not so fun but important for them to know.

Requirements
We're looking for:
Experience in a customer service or sales role. But if you don't have experience in neither, no worries, we'd love to train you.
What else is in it for you:

  • Paid time off - holidays, vacation, sick, jury duty, bereavement, and parental leave.
