Job description

BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, P.C., is now hiring! We are a mobile private practice that provides speech and developmental therapy services for children, 6 months to 18 years of age. Our staff includes licensed Speech-Language Pathologists with experience working with diverse populations of children.

If you are interested in working in EI, we can help you get started! Qualified candidates have the opportunity to join our team by building a caseload of clients from birth to 3 years of age in the greater Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs. SLPs have the opportunity to provide in-home or virtual services. Opportunities for children over the age of three are also available.

Job Duties and Requirements:

  • Pediatric experience. Speech-Language Pathologist state licensure and certification (or eligibility as a CF) in good standing. Eligibility for DHS-IL Early Intervention credentialing and ISBE Educator Licensure.
  • Exhibit compliance with The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations, reimbursement requirements, and SLP's responsibilities.
  • Evaluate patients/clients; develop a plan of care with associated goals including quantifiable speech and language outcome targets.
  • Administer and interpret standardized tests for diagnosis of communication disorders.
  • Provide diagnosis, treatment, instruction, and other speech and language services according to the scope of practice limitations per State statute.
  • Update patient progress and provide progress notes to appropriate parties.
  • Utilize research-based treatment methods.

Physical Requirements:

  • Light Work: Exerting up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an ASHA-accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (Preferred)
  • Active State of Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license (required)
  • EI credentials (preferred)
  • 1+ years of postgraduate pediatric experience (preferred)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a vehicle to travel in the Chicago metropolitan area (required).
