Summary

As part of the Production Department, the Construction Labourer position assists with all aspects of the production process of the various products including thermo and cold plastics. During construction season, they will be required to occasionally work out of town for one week, or longer to assist other construction departments. Overtime, weekends, and nightshift work may also be required during the season.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Comply with all safe working procedures and practices.
Assist with all stages of the manufacturing process, including cross-training to complete the various required tasks.
Contribute to the team’s projects and assignments.
Commitment and compliance with the facilities Six-S requirements.
Provide support services to the Production Department and other Canadian Road Builders, Inc. subsidiaries.
Ensuring a safe, effective, and efficient operation.
Versatility, flexibility, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are required in this position. 

Requirements

Valid driver’s licenses (Class 5), along with a recent abstract required.
Reliable transportation, no public transportation in Acheson.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Forklift experience is considered an asset.
Must be able to perform manual labour (ability to lift 30kg) and work in dusty physically demanding conditions.
Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends, out of town when scheduled and required.
