Laboratory Supervisor – Bradenton, FL


Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift (Rotating Weekends)



Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to provide hands-on leadership and operational oversight within a clinical laboratory environment. This role is ideal for a motivated laboratory professional who values quality, teamwork, and excellence in patient care. The Laboratory Supervisor will support daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead staff development initiatives.



Key Responsibilities


  • Supervise technical and non-technical laboratory personnel and assign shifts and work areas
  • Oversee laboratory processes, service levels, and regulatory compliance
  • Support functional laboratory areas including specimen collection, processing, and referral testing, based on department licensure
  • Develop and manage quality monitoring systems, including data collection, documentation, reporting, and corrective action plans
  • Monitor and manage resource utilization such as payroll, supplies, expenses, volume trends, and operational reports
  • Provide leadership through coaching, training, performance management, and professional development of staff
  • Participate in hiring activities, including screening, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates



Qualifications


  • Associate degree in Science or Medical Technology required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology preferred
  • Active Florida Laboratory Supervisor License required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Licensure in three technical specialties preferred



Compensation

$32.62 – $48.93 per hour, based on years of experience
