Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
• Work 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with shift end times varying until procedures are complete
• Daily caseload consists of 4 to 5 labs per day with 2 CVT per lab, approximately 20 cases per day
• On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month, plus one call shift and one evening shift every week - call requirements may change based on staffing needs
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
• 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required
• Must be proficient in coronary diagnostic/intervention scrub and monitor
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and SC license (SCRQSA)
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab
• Patients treated include adults and geriatrics
• Procedures include diagnostic and interventional coronary cath, diagnostic and interventional vascular, angioplasty, shockwave, temp pacer, IABP, Impella, carotid angiogram, atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), FFR/IFR, pericardiocentesis, and cardiac biopsies
• Special equipment includes Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, MAC Lab documentation system, and Vidistar image storage
• Key skills include accurate monitoring, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), left and right heart catheterization, rotablator atherectomy, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
Facility:
This acute care hospital features 304 staffed beds and operates a high-volume Cath Lab with 5 rooms, offering a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and Vidistar for image storage, supporting a well-equipped and technologically advanced clinical environment.
