Barre Gardens is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our skilled nursing facility in Barre, VT!

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, special diet orders, and established food safety and portion control procedures.

Shifts Available

  • Full-Time

  • Part-Time

  • PRN

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and special diet orders

  • Follow standardized recipes and proper portion control procedures

  • Assist with meal production and ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner

  • Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards

  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, worktables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, and other kitchen areas

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment

  • Follow all dietary, sanitation, and infection control policies

  • Assist with meal service and other dietary department duties as needed

Qualifications
