Home Run Inn Pizza is looking for a reliable and experienced Back of House Supervisor to join our Full Service restaurant in Little Village-Chicago!


Job Summary: The Kitchen Supervisor supports daily back-of-house (BOH) operations by leading kitchen staff, ensuring consistent food quality, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and helping execute smooth service during high-volume shifts. This role models company values, coaches new team members, and ensures that all recipes and procedures are followed to Home Run Inn standards.


This job will also Assist with Off-Site events, including food truck operations and catering orders. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports and promotes a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all workplace health and safety requirements and reinforcing safe behaviors across the team.
  • Develop healthy teams based on Trust, Healthy Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Attention to Results
  • Conduct opening and closing duties.
  • Ensure all menu items are prepared according to company recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Oversee food preparation areas, ovens, fryers, and station setup during all shifts.
  • Monitor food temperatures, freshness, and product rotation (FIFO).
  • Assist with prep work and cook line duties as needed to support service.
  • Enforce compliance with all food safety guidelines, cleaning schedules, and sanitation practices.
  • Support management functions, as assigned, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train staff.
  • Work specific front of house positions due to excessive volume or staff shortages including but not limited to Line Cook, Pizza Maker, and Dishwashing.
  • Certify and train new hire employees.
  • Provide feedback for employees in their position.
  • Implement new standards and practices.
  • Safely operate and drive company vehicles, including the food truck, as needed
  • Update training materials.



Requirements:
  • Two-year college degree and equivalent to direct restaurant (Back of House) experience of 1 years+
  • Understanding of restaurant food safety standards
  • Ability to supervise and motivate hourly kitchen staff
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
  • Willingness to travel locally for catering events and off-site service
  • Ability to operate company vehicles, including a food truck
  • Experience enforcing recipes, portion control, and quality standards
  • Ability to remain calm during busy or challenging situations.
  • Continuously be able to physically lift, reach, bend and stop.??
  • Ability to stand for extended periods. (up to 5 hours).
  • Have working knowledge of the predominant language of our guests
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • You must obtain Food Handler certification within 30 days of being hired.
  • You must obtain Safety shoes are required within 30 days of being hired.
  • Must be at least 21 years old
