Job Summary:Kitchen workers provide essential support in food preparation and sanitation, including dishwashing, assembling sandwiches and salads, and dicing vegetables. This role requires flexibility to adapt to various tasks while ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

The Details:Position Type: SeasonalSeason Dates: Starting late-August and ending late-September 2026 (exact dates vary by location)Pay: $14.95/hrSchedule: Typical schedule is 45-50 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Communicate closely with chef on duty.
  • Follows recipe cards and measure ingredients.
  • Wash dishes, pots and pans, silverware, and glasses.
  • Sweep and mop floors, take out trash, general kitchen cleaning tasks.
  • Prepare cooking ingredients and simple dishes. Assists pantry with dicing vegetables, making salads and sandwiches.
  • Maintain Xanterra standards of sanitation throughout kitchen area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to perform kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to create a Teamwork environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Must complete a Food Handlers certificate while on property.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
  • Walk for long periods of time.
  • Lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work with chemicals and cleaning solutions.
