Role Description

Janitorial teammates perform Master Sanitation activities throughout the plant by cleaning and sanitizing our food manufacturing facility, including offices, breakroom and production areas.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols (including LOTO, wearing proper PPE and following all chemical handling requirements).
  • Strictly adhere to all food safety and quality requirements (including following all GMP's), in accordance with BRC requirements.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with documented policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Report all food safety and quality concerns, risks and non-conformances to MUSH Management immediately.
  • Sweep, mop and perform housekeeping activities for all required areas inside and outside of the facility in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Perform proper sanitation and cleaning of production areas (floors, walls, drains, etc) and equipment
  • Follow all sanitation, general plant, area-specific and equipment specific safe practices and GMP requirements
  • Clean and maintain restrooms, office areas, and the breakroom to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
  • Add specified amounts of chemicals to equipment at required times to maintain solution levels and concentrations
  • Other duties as assigned


Tactical Requirements:

  • Janitorial experience: 1 year (preferred, but not required)
  • Food manufacturing experience: 1 year (preferred, but not required)
  • Ability to arrive to work on-time and be available to stay later than the shift requires based on business needs.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail in repetitive tasks and communicate effectively with any concerns
  • Highly organized, methodical, disciplined, and detail-oriented
  • Self sufficient in looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and quality of work



Physical and Work Related Requirements:

  • Standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Repetitive motion for long periods of time
  • Bending and lifting up to 50 LB
  • Ability to handle allergens including peanuts and treenuts
